Alina Hain appointed second managing director at NOW GmbH

From 25 April 2022, Alina Hain will join the management team as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of NOW GmbH. She will lead the company together with Kurt-Christoph von Knobelsdorff, Managing Director (Chair).

A native of Poland, Ms Hain is a fully qualified lawyer with degrees in Poland and Germany and currently still works as Head of Administration of the Leibniz Institute for Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ) in Großbeeren/Brandenburg. She previously held positions of responsibility at a chamber of industry and commerce, the Brandenburg state government as well as a university.

NOW GmbH is to my mind, a key player in the energy transition of the transport sector. Heike Seefried, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board: “Alina Hain comes on board as COO of NOW GmbH in a phase of considerable restructuring and expansion within the company. The increasing political importance of sustainable mobility in the context of climate protection has led to the expansion of the portfolio of issues and as a consequence, the NOW team itself, which now comprises of more than 150 staff members at four locations. In addition to content-related work, there is currently an entire series of organizational challenges to overcome, including the integration of many new colleagues. The Supervisory Board is delighted to gain in Alina Hain a proven expert, who will certainly also be a very good personal fit for NOW and its culture.”
