BUS2BUS 2026 opened its doors at the Berlin Messe Exhibition Grounds on 15 and 16 April 2026, bringing together 156 exhibitors from 25 countries as a central platform for the bus industry. The event serves as a key point of orientation during a period of profound transformation, shaped by zero-emission propulsion systems, digitalisation, and a shortage of skilled workers. We reported before here: https://www.urban-transport-magazine.com/en/bus2bus-2026-in-berlin-a-preview/. Its aim is to connect decision-makers from transport operators, industry, politics, and technology sectors in order to compare innovations, assess their relevance, and support well-informed investment decisions.
The exhibition covers the entire value chain of bus mobility – from vehicles and infrastructure to digital solutions. A particular focus is placed on practical comparability: technologies are not only presented but can also be experienced in realistic operating scenarios. A total of 60 buses, ranging from autonomous shuttles to modern coaches, are showcased – in the outside area also under near real-world conditions. These include vehicles from the following manufacturers and exhibitors (among others):
- Atlas
- Anadolu Isuzu
- BMC
- BYD
- Daimler Buses
- Electrify (Lithuania)
- Fencer
- HEERO Motors
- Iveco
- Jebsen & Jessen (Wisdom Motor)
- K-Bus
- Karsan
- MAN
- MCV
- Otokar
- Rosero (Slovakia)
- Scania
- TAM
- Tremonia
An extensive stage programme featuring more than 100 sessions and over 120 international experts explores key future topics such as artificial intelligence, new operating models, and sustainable mobility. Interactive formats encourage exchange between theory and practice.
Dialogue between the industry and policymakers also plays an important role. The German Bus and Coach Association is actively involved, while political representatives, including the Federal Minister of Transport, provide key input.

In addition to technological innovation, the event places a strong focus on people. The inaugural “Bus Driver Day” on 16 April highlights the importance of the profession and aims to attract new talent—staff recruitment is in fact one of the sector’s most pressing challenges. Overall, BUS2BUS once again presents itself as a comprehensive platform for innovation, exchange, and strategic orientation in bus mobility.
