Polish rail manufacturing company PESA Bydgoszcz SA will acquire 100% of the shares in the German company HeiterBlick GmbH, Leipzig – the company has now confirmed this in a press release. A corresponding contractual agreement was signed by both parties in December 2025 and is expected to be finalised in the coming days. The completion of the transaction is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
Production in Leipzig is to be expanded, and the site is intended to become an important hub for the German and Western European business, while PESA’s Polish plants will continue to serve the Central and South Eastern European markets. It is planned to continuously increase production in Leipzig over the coming years and to achieve an annual output of 25 vehicles per year. This is positive news for the 250 employees at HeiterBlick. PESA will support HeiterBlick in particular in processing its existing orders, for example from Leipzig, Würzburg and Dortmund. The required production of car bodies for the Leipzig order will be carried out at the Polish plant in Bydgoszcz.
