Ebusco as main supplier for e-buses to DB Regio Bus: 25 more go to Speyer

DB Regio Bus has ordered 25 twelve-metre-long battery electric buses of Ebusco’s type 2.2 from Ebusco, the electric bus specialist from Deurne in the Netherlands. This is the largest single order from the framework agreement for a total of 140 electric buses that DB and Ebusco concluded in April 2022. Under this framework agreement, Ebusco will deliver both solo and articulated coaches by the end of 2026, 95% of which will belong to the ‘2.2’ series and the remaining 5% to the new ‘3.0’ series.

The new Ebusco vehicles will form the basis for the complete conversion of DB bus transport in the Speyer region to electric operation.

Their batteries will have a battery capacity of more than 400 kWh. This will enable them to run for a whole day without having to recharge en route.

Ebusco emphasises that it will be the main supplier of electric buses to DB by the end of 2026.
