Since 11 September 2025, six Van Hool ExquiCity 18 T battery trolleybuses with Kiepe electric equipment have been operating on the route from Stazione Centrale in Pescara to Montesilvano. The route is 8 km long and runs largely on its own separate track in accordance with Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) standards. After many years of waiting and delays, the population finally has a modern means of transport at its disposal. We have reported on the project in detail here:
