HEERO Motors presents the low-entry mid-floor minibus (M3) at BUS2BUS 2026

HEERO Motors, a brand of E-Works Mobility GmbH, is a German technology company specialising in the electrification of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. It develops modular, battery-electric minibus platforms for a range of applications, including mid-floor low-entry, rear low-floor, and high-floor minibuses, all based on the M3 platform. The objective is to achieve maximum flexibility, efficiency, and integration into smart energy networks.

Technological innovations

The M3 mid-floor low-entry minibus features a newly designed drivetrain layout, enabling a range of over 300 km with a battery capacity of 137 kWh. The central drive unit delivering 180 kW and 1,200 Nm, the space-saving placement of the battery in two blocks, the elimination of an angle gearbox, and high-speed charging (165 kW) all contribute to improved efficiency, reduced maintenance, and enhanced operational capability. The integration of all Mercedes-Benz driver assistance systems ensures a high level of safety.

Sustainability and cost-efficiency

The modular battery design allows individual modules to be replaced rather than entire battery packs, reducing maintenance costs and conserving resources. The diesel-to-electric transformation provides continued usability for existing fleets. HEERO is pursuing a sustainable circular economy strategy to ensure long-term investment security and ecological efficiency.

HEERO Motors will present the new M3 mid-floor low-entry minibus at BUS2BUS in Berlin on 15 and 16 April 2026.
