French E-Bus manufacturer Bolloré has supplied its first articulated vehicle – as part of an order for the city of Rennes. The new Bolloré Bluebus articulé 18E is numbered 500 and started test runs over part of line C6 of the local operator STAR on Thursday 30 July 2020 – to check the electric performance and the battery capacity and of course also to familiarize the drivers with the new bus model.

Some figures:
Length: 18.35m
Width: 2.55m
Height: 3.30m
Batteries: 12#

Total passenger capacity: 130

This articulated vehicle is one of the electric vehicles delivered to the STAR network. The first two Bluebus 12 ebuses were delivered to Rennes in 2018 (numbered 501 and 502), followed by another five in 2019, numbered 503 to 507. Testing of the articulated Bluebus, also in passenger service at some point of time, will continue during the summer.
