Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH (RVK) offers the people in the Rhineland an attractive and
sustainable local public transport. ATRON electronic GmbH is a leader in innovative software and
hardware solutions for public transport.

Already in February 2022, the two companies concluded a framework agreement for the delivery of
more than 900 modern on-board computers of the AFR 4.10 series. Since November 1, 2022, RVK
now also takes over the non-exclusive service and sales partnership for the ATRON on-board
computers in the entire contract area of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS). RVK provides service to 23 million passengers every year, operating 348 of its own buses and 214 buses operated under
contract. RVK’s core transport area covers the Euskirchen district, the Rheinisch-Bergisch
district, the Rhein-Sieg district on the left bank of the Rhine, the urban transport services in Brühl,
Wesseling, Hürth and Euskirchen, as well as scheduled services to the cities of Cologne, Bonn and
Leverkusen.

“We are glad that we can make the ATRON on-board computers, which have already been reliably
introduced in our company, including comprehensive services, available to other transport companies
even more intensively in the region,” says Dr. Marcel Frank, Managing Director of RVK. Barbara
Brunner, managing director of the ATRON Group, is pleased about the signing of the new service and
sales partnership: “I am very happy about the continuation and deepening of the partnership between
RVK and ATRON. The two companies are united by the goal of making public transport in Germany
even more attractive and sustainable.”
