The Electric Bus Conference of the German Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (Association of German Transport Companies – VDV) and the ELEKBU trade fair will once again be held in Berlin – on 12 and 13 July 2022. The numerous expert presentations on the subject of electric mobility in the bus sector will focus on the current state of technology, depots and workshops as well as the implementation of e-mobility in rural areas. Fuel cell vehicles will also receive special attention.
For the first time, there will be a cooperation with the association trolley:motion, which will give lectures and discussion rounds throughout the second day of the event with a special focus on practical applications of the In-Motion Charging (IMC) technology. It is the logical further development of the tried and tested trolleybus system, combining the current possibilities of battery technology with the advantages of recharging when driving under sections with overhead lines without loss of time. This is a more than sensible addition to the event, which is also used by various exhibitors from this sector. These include the company LibroDuct, which will be demonstrating its system for fully automatic wiring to the overhead line “live and in colour” at the accompanying ElekBu trade fair. A short section of overhead line will even be installed directly next to the lecture area (Stand 59 in Hall Europa). Other manufacturers from the IMC/trolleybus sector will also be represented.
