Prof. Dr. Sabina Jeschke, Member of the Management Board for Digitalisation and Technology, is leaving Deutsche Bahn AG. She intends to end her Executive Board contract early on 31 May 2021 and is leaving “at her own request and on the best of amicable terms”, the 52-year-old announced in Berlin on Thursday. The Swedish-born Jeschke joined DB in 2017. Jeschke explained her decision, among other things, by saying that she wanted to become more involved in the start-up scene – especially on an international level – and in high-tech developments in the future.

Supervisory Board Chairman Michael Odenwald: “I regret Professor Jeschke’s decision and expressly thank her for the very good cooperation with the Executive Board and Supervisory Board over the past years. We wish her all the very best for the future.”

DB CEO Dr Richard Lutz: “Sabina Jeschke is a valued colleague who has provided important impetus for our ‘Strong Rail’ strategy with the digitalisation and technology strategy she has developed. We as the Executive Board would also like to thank her for the good cooperation and the work she has done. We also wish her all the best for her new career outside DB.
