The Rhein-Sieg Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (RSVG) from Troisdorf, the largest city in the Rhein-Sieg district (“Kreis Siegburg”), has ordered six electric buses from the Chinese manufacturer BYD, which are to be delivered in spring 2024. They will be allocated to the Hennef depot.
On 20 October 2023, RSVG presented the first BYD demonstration vehicle at its Hennef depot as part of the “Night of Technology” in the Bonn / Rhein-Sieg region. The bus is registered with the Dutch registration number “68-BTP-5” to BYD Europa in Schiedam near Rotterdam.
RSVG reported that before the bus came to Hennef, it had been in Baden-Baden as a demonstration vehicle.
