Hypermotion 2020 is taking place! – with top speakers Edward Snowden and Marc Elsberg

As Messe Frankfurt’s first hybrid event, this year’s Hypermotion is offering its entire conference programme and new networking tools both live in Frankfurt and virtually. Participants can also experience the presentations, pitches and top-quality keynote speeches from Edward Snowden and Marc Elsberg remotely via live stream.

Hypermotion is taking place – not only on site in Frankfurt, but also simultaneously in the virtual realm. The new digital experience makes it possible for everyone – including those who are unfortunately unable to travel to the event in person in 2020 – to not only find out about the latest products, concepts and solutions, but also to actively take part in the discussions and participate in the development of our future transport and traffic systems. As a result, this year’s hybrid event offers the best of two worlds: in-person interaction, virtual networking opportunities and maximum digital reach. Participants can look forward to a wide-ranging conference programme. Keynote speakers include whistleblower Edward Snowden, who will be addressing the topic of ‘Data protection in mobility and logistics after the coronavirus – what comes next for infrastructure in terms of data protection?’ and best-selling author Marc Elsberg, whose international best-sellers depict realistic scenarios for future threats.

Live-streaming the entire conference programme

During the three-day trade fair, all conference content will be streamed live, with some selected sessions remaining available for weeks after the event. This offers participants the opportunity to take full advantage of the programme and view presentations they had missed during the event itself or those taking place simultaneously. A survey tool lets participants actively take part in discussions and question-and-answer sessions. The range of topics covered is immense: both the 6th German Mobility Congress and the smc:smart mobility conference are dedicated to future mobility and its relationship to our climate goals and digitalisation. EXCHAiNGE focuses on best practices in the supply chain, while the Logistics Digital Conference and scalex conference address innovations in goods transport and city logistics. The Hypermotion Lab presents disruptive concepts in the fields of urban air mobility, smart logistics and digital infrastructure. A preview of these topics is available in the Hypermotion podcast.

New networking opportunities with AI-supported software

The focus is on networking, and that focus will receive additional support this year from new, integrated matchmaking software based on artificial intelligence. Intelligent matchmaking will be used to determine which people, exhibitors and conference content might be of interest to the user. Participants will also be able to compile their own digital timetables. These selections will then be used to automatically provide users with additional recommendations for suitable conference content and product presentations.

Personal face-to-face discussions in video calls

Participants can take advantage of one-to-one video calls to set up face-to-face meetings with interested companies and business partners in the virtual realm. The digital experience also provides an integrated chat function that can be used to interact directly with other participants. Furthermore, there will be individual speed networking sessions in which participants on site can get into contact with those participating in the virtual realm.

Additional highlights on site

Those who visit the event in person can also look forward to an exhibition featuring new vehicle concepts from ONO, Rinspeed, LEVC – the London Electric Vehicle Company and many others. Software-supported solutions will be on offer from various providers, including Arealcontrol GmbH, Globalmatix AG and Vitronic. The Micro Mobility Course will also be offering opportunities to test-drive the smallest class of vehicles: e-scooters, electric motor scooters and cargo bikes of all kinds are growing increasingly important in our transport systems – not only for private users, but also for industry.

Next Hypermotion will take place from 10 to 12 November 2020.
